This week we have been focusing on the first part of our daily cheer. Did you know that we start our day with a very enthusiastic motto? Ask your child to demonstrate the "Respectful, Responsible, Ready 2 Learn" cheer :)
Saying the word is wonderful, but our actions can mean more than our words. So, what does being respectful look like? Here at school, we have been working at walking in the halls quietly, listening to others when they are speaking, waiting our turn, respecting a classmate's personal space, raising our hand in class and staying in our seats during seat work. Tomorrow, our Remembrance Day assembly will be another way that we show respect. Parent Connect: Ask your child what respect means to them? Brainstorm ways that you show respect for each other in your household and encourage them to set a goal. I saw this quote a few days ago-a fabulous reminder to always stop, drop(down to their sight line) and listen. Respecting their thoughts, dreams and worries is a wonderful way to show we care.
